This is Alex

Born and raised in the DC-Metropolitan Area, Alex is an artist who specializes in drawing (colored pencils/watercolor pens on paper) and creating puppets (paper). He loves making art about people, animals, mythical creatures and characters from pop culture. Through his art, Alex tries to capture the spirit of his subjects, both the real and the fictional ones.

He produces the majority of his work at the Visibility Art Lab at VisArts in Rockville, MD, which is a nonprofit that works with artists who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Being on the spectrum has not stopped Alex from producing a high quantity of high-quality work. He not only works on his craft daily but also continues to evolve as an artist. Alex is not afraid to explore his curiosities and challenge himself with new ideas.

Though he is a great artist, he is an even better person. Everyone who has gotten the pleasure of knowing him loves him dearly. He is a patient, caring, and loving person who is always willing to help.
